The Knauf Group today is one of the leading companies in the building materials industry: 150 plants, 26,000 employees, and annual sales of 6.27 billion Euro (in 2013).
“I am passionate about minimizing the impact of logistics on mobility. At ISOLAVA (Knauf), I have the opportunity to further explore this passion. We were a pioneer in deploying barges for transporting pallets of finished goods.“
Antoon has studied Applied Economics at the University of Antwerp. He started his career in the forwarding world, with Freyman & Van Loo Kortrijk – at a time when customs formalities within Europe were still a necessity.
Three years later, he became the responsible manager for all export of furniture fabric at Depraetere Industries. This is where he got in touch with seeking warehouse solutions.
Since 2001, Antoon has been part of ISOLAVA – one of the global departments of the Knauf Gips group (and family business). Initially, he was involved in logistics activities for export of finished goods. Today, he is also responsible voor the company’s internal sales.
