Knowhow and specific logistics experience built up during many years are shared during unique events such as the present Hackathon. Since 1999 – nine successful OTM-AWARDS have been organised, during which shippers and logistics service providers were joined in an informal atmosphere. Every two years, OTM has searched for winners: in the world of service providers as well as in the category of shippers.

Find out moreAbout OTM – The Belgian Shippers’ Council
Founded in 1980, OTM is a recognised stakeholders’ organisation of logistics professionals, active in commerce and in the industry as a whole.
OTM’s objective is to contribute to more effective and efficient supply chains by working with the so called triple helix model.
The triple helix model is based on the interactions between the three following elements and their associated ‘initial role’: universities engaging in basic research, industries producing commercial goods and governments regulating markets. As interactions increase within this framework, each component evolves to adopt some characteristics of the other institution. This gives rise to hybrid institutions. Bilateral interactions exist between universities, industry and government.
OTM promotes itself a sole conduit on various issues, in which the interests of the shippers have to be defended. Cooperation, knowledge sharing and togetherness together with the important lobbying functions within the different authorities, are the key objectives of the organisation. These are supported by the wide diversity of the OTM-members. In a dynamic environment, OTM responds quickly to questions and issues of the logistics industry.
